Mr. Adams Graphics Class

term 1
For this project we had to make an advertisement that incorporates line and color. The way in which I placed the pictures makes a line right down the middle. The colors that I used blend well together and create a sense of emphasis on the main green add in the center of the page. While doing this project I learned how to scan an image on the copy machine and put it on my school computer.
For these three projects our class had to make 3 windshield advertisements. The ad on the left was the "no template" ad which meant we had free range on what we could do without a template. For the middle ad I had to use a template which restricted me from adding a picture as the backdrop. On the ad on the far right we free range to do whatever we wanted except the fact that we had to make the image black and white. I learned many things from these projects including how to make an image the back of your advertisement.
For this project we had to make a brochure on our own shop. I chose to do a shop that sells penny boards and skateboards. The special part about his brochure is that we had to include a edited picture of ourselves in the bio portion on our ad. This project took a large part of the term because of the amount of detail we had to include. I learned a lot in this project within photo shop because of the variety of tools we could use.
For this project our class had to make a greeting card. The greeting card was from a famous person to the students. I decided to do a greeting card from a popular DJ because of his weird look. The image that I found was perfect when editing because of its sharpness as well as its ability to look good in grey scale. In this project I learned how to use new tools such as the history tool.
The Thayer Street brochure was the most time consuming project out of all the rest. Our class went on a field trip to take pictures of businesses and edit them on Photoshop. I edited 6 pictures in total changing the lighting and also adding filters to some of them. We also had to write a brief summary on what each business offered. I learned many new tools in photoshop as well as transfering a file that was on my phone on to my computer.
For this ungraded project our class had to do a picture where they implement themselves from one picture into another. I decided to put my face onto a TV show ad. I learned how to use many tools within this project including the color adjustment tool and history tool. I enjoyed this project alot because of the freedom involved with it. With that I believed the students were able to express there ideas better.
For this project we had to make our own album cover for an artist that we enjoy. The criteria for the project was an 8x8 design that required using different brushes. I decided to use the grey scale tool to add emphasis to the song name Breath. I used the brush tool to create background as well as the tornado coming out of his head. Then I used the text tool to create the name on the top of the cover.
This album cover was a song that was chosen by Mr. Adams. The song was about T.V. advertisements that "brainwashed" us. The sound of the song sounded dark and twisted so I used the color green to show emphasis to the gross part of the song. I enjoyed this project a lot because of how challenging it was. I used many tools like color adjustment, crop tool, move tool, as well as the history tool.

TERM 4
A few edits from the calendar. I used multiple brushes and tools to complete there calendar themes such as custom brushes and the quick select tool . I learned how to make people have emphasis on Photoshopped pictures. I attempted to make everyone look like they were popping out of the photo and i found myself getting better as i went along doing the project.
For this project i tried to make it less serious. I used multiple tools from publisher including the shape tool. I also learned how to make a custom background on publisher.
